Clove

Cloves (laung / लौंग) are the aromatic flavor buds of a tree and commonly used as a spice. It has been used in cooking and traditional medicine since ancient times. Clove has loads of health benefits like keeping blood sugar levels and blocking bad bacteria. It is filled with antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Clove oil contains a compound called eugenol that helps in treating acne. They fight acne bacteria and helps in reducing swelling and redness. Clove is a treasure trove of anti-inflammatory compounds, which can come in handy during times of sore throat, cough, cold, and sinusitis. You can chew on some cloves raw, or mix it with hot water and drink it early morning and even mix it in your cup of chai.
